Everest Base Camp Helicopter Landing Tour
Tour Overview
The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Landing Tour is the ultimate Himalayan day trip. In just 4.5 hours you will stand beneath Mount Everest at Kala Patthar (5,545m) — a viewpoint trekkers take two weeks to reach — and enjoy breakfast on the terrace of the Hotel Everest View (3,880m), recognized by Guinness World Records as the highest-placed hotel in the world.
Fly east from Kathmandu over terraced hillsides and alpine rivers to Lukla, the famous gateway to Everest. After refueling, climb past Namche Bazaar and Tengboche Monastery directly toward the Khumbu Icefall before touching down at Kala Patthar for 10–15 unforgettable minutes face-to-face with the world's highest peak.
Every flight operates on AS350 B3e helicopters with veteran high-altitude pilots, emergency oxygen systems, and strict weight management. Shared-group seats keep this once-in-a-lifetime experience affordable.

Frequently Asked Questions
Landing is subject to wind, visibility, and safety regulations set by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). If a safe landing at Kala Patthar is impossible, the pilot will land at the closest safe spot (such as Syangboche or Lukla) and issue a partial refund or flight adjustment.
Ground time at Kala Patthar (5,545m) is restricted to 10–15 minutes, which prevents the onset of Acute Mountain Sickness. All helicopters carry high-flow emergency oxygen cylinders, and our pilots are trained in high-altitude medicine.
If weather conditions are unsafe and CAAN closes the route, you receive a 100% full refund of your deposit, or you may reschedule for the next day free of charge subject to availability.
At Kala Patthar the maximum landing payload is 220–240 kg for the group. If a shared group exceeds this limit we split passengers into short shuttle rotations from Lukla or Pheriche — this shuttle planning is included in your fare.
