Booking and Payment Terms
To confirm your helicopter tour booking with Everest Helicopter Tour, a 30% deposit of the total flight cost is required. The remaining balance must be paid at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure. Bookings made within 48 hours of departure require full payment at the time of reservation. We accept bank transfers and major credit cards.
Weight Disclosure
Accurate passenger weight is critical for helicopter flight safety and payload calculations. All passengers must declare their actual weight at the time of booking and will be weighed again at check-in on the day of the flight. Discrepancies exceeding 10 kg may result in seat reallocation, additional charges, or cancellation without refund. This requirement is mandated by CAAN flight safety regulations.
Weather Cancellations
Helicopter operations in the Everest region are subject to weather conditions. If Everest Helicopter Tour cancels a flight due to unsafe weather, passengers will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost. Weather decisions are made by the pilot in command and are final. We do not issue refunds for flights that proceed as scheduled but are affected by turbulence, cloud cover, or reduced visibility.
Cancellation Policy
- 7+ days before departure: Full refund minus a USD 50 administrative fee
- 3-6 days before departure: 50% refund of the total flight cost
- Less than 48 hours before departure: No refund
- No-show: No refund
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation and helicopter-related activities.
Liability
Everest Helicopter Tour operates AS350 B3e helicopters maintained to the highest industry standards. All pilots are veteran high-altitude captains with extensive Himalayan experience. However, helicopter operations in mountainous terrain carry inherent risks. Everest Helicopter Tour's liability is limited to the total amount paid for the tour. We are not liable for delays, schedule changes, or cancellations caused by weather, government regulations, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond our control.
Health and Altitude
Helicopter tours in the Everest region involve rapid altitude gain, with Kala Patthar landing at 5,545 meters above sea level. Passengers with severe cardiac conditions, respiratory illnesses, or other altitude-sensitive medical conditions must disclose these at the time of booking. Everest Helicopter Tour reserves the right to refuse boarding to passengers whose condition may pose a safety risk at high altitude. Emergency oxygen is available on all flights.
Amendments
Everest Helicopter Tour reserves the right to modify itineraries, landing locations, or flight schedules due to weather, air traffic control, government regulations, or safety concerns. Alternative arrangements of comparable value will be provided whenever possible.
